As part of the M1 animation network we projected students work directly onto the brand new post graduate centre. It became quite a talking point and numerous passers by were blown away by the quality of the content and the novelty of a screen that size.

Animation Graduate Chris Butcher, already a ‘Barbican Ideas Tap Award Winner 2011′, has another prize to add to his collection, the Red Bull Canimation 2011 Open Stop Motion Trophy.

Life drawing is run each year through the BA (Hons) Animation course, and is open to students from all courses. Students apply a range of film and animation concepts to their work including: sequential illustration, gesture, acting, power centres, line-of-action, mise-en-scene, multiple exposure & abstraction
