BA(Hons) Interior Architecture

“THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX”

REFLECT – RETRACE – REMEMBER – RE-APPROPRIATE – REGENERATE – RESTORE – REFURBISH – REMODEL – RESUSE

Interior Architecture is design for change within the built environment. Whereas architecture may be perceived as permanent and interior design is associated with trend, Interior Architecture takes a middle ground tackling transitions and designing with and for them.

At the University of Bedfordshire we explore this liminal state of building design with a view to social, economic and environmental sustainability.

“A city that doesn’t change and replace itself is a dead city” Cedric Price, 2004 *a sell-by date, after which the architect wishes it to be known that he may change his mind.
