Last night the Division of Art and Design at the University of Bedfordshire celebrated the work of the first and second year BA (Hons) Fashion Design students in the annual Fashion Show.

As part of the M1 animation network we projected students work directly onto the brand new post graduate centre. It became quite a talking point and numerous passers by were blown away by the quality of the content and the novelty of a screen that size.
Departure Lounge is delighted to present its second exhibition in its new Luton Base. Fragmentations and Cohesions brings together four emergent contemporary artists Ben Hodson, Karolina Lebek, Michael Radford and Andrew Rickett.

Recent graduate of University of Bedfordshire, Karolina Lebek presents a mixture of photography, video and sound works which explore ideas of memory, distance and emotional loss.
>IMPORT/EXPORT> the title of this year’s graduation exhibition to reflect the fluid nature of art and design practice and education. A toing and froing of ideas between disciplines/tutors/students and, most importantly, cultures. The exhibition title captures the ethos of the course.

Graphic Design and Illustration students from Design for Communication course here at the University entered the Design Museum’s annual ‘Design Factory’ Higher Education project for BA design students, spanning product, fashion/textiles, graphics/illustration and architecture/spatial design.
Recently graduated MA student Anna Skopinska has turned her masters project into a real publication Grafik Rebel which was just launched in August in Warsaw. For the launch Anna, as part of her new studio, Rebel Zoo Studio put on an exhibition featuring Design For Communication’s Course Leader, Noel Douglas and typographer and designer Jonathan Barnbrook.
