Occupy Havana – Mural Workshop For The 99%

Design For Communication Course Leader Noel Douglas has just returned from doing a Mural workshop in Havana, Cuba. The workshop theme was the key slogan of the Occupy movement the ’99%’ against the ’1%’. In an intense 4 days working with a great group of artists, designers and students from Havana ideas were mulled over and the result was this 8 metre high mural painted on the wall of the University of Havana’s Faculty of Arts and Literature which sits on a busy intersection of roads meaning it is guaranteed a good audience. The mural was part of the Havana Bienniale.
