Spatial Design second years recently went on a field trip to London, visiting both The Royal Festival Hall and The National Theatre, this was organized to support the ‘Making Performance’ design project, which requires the students to design a ‘set’ for live performance.
With specially organized tours round both buildings, the tours included back of house, back of stages, workshops, etc. This is the second year that this trip has been held and once again it was a great success.
At the Royal Festival Hall we had the pleasure of the company of Mr Kenelm Roberts, Head of Customer Relations, who has worked at the RFH for many many years, give us the benefit of his knowledge and passion for the building.
Whilst in the main auditorium of the RFH the students got to see Paloma Faith rehearsing on stage, which was an added bonus!….though difficult to drag them away from….
Thankyou to all of those students who turned up for this event.
